Staff, very rare (requires attunement)
While attuned to this staff, you know the prestidigitation cantrip.
The staff has 6 charges for the following properties. It regains 1d6 expended charges daily at dawn.
Silvery Barbs. You can expend 1 charge as an action to cast Silvery Barbs from the staff.
Major Image. You can expend 3 charges as an action to cast Major Image from the staff without requiring concentration.
Illusory Copy. You can expend 4 charges as an action to conjure an illusory duplicate of yourself within 120 feet. The illusion is indistinguishable from you unless a creature succeeds on a DC 15 Intelligence (Investigation) check. The illusion can interact with objects but cannot attack.
As a bonus action, you can move the illusion up to 60 feet, and you can make it appear to move naturally.
Grand Spectacle. You can expend 6 charges as an action to conjure a 30-foot radius field of dazzling magical theatrics that lasts for 1 minute. This field emits loud noises, flamboyant visuals, and grand illusions. When a creature enters the field or starts its turn inside, it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be Mesmerized. You can choose which creatures automatically succeed. While Mesmerized, a creature:
- Has disadvantage on Wisdom checks and saving throws.
- Incoming attacks against it are made with advantage.
- Its own attack rolls are made with disadvantage.
- If it attempts to target a creature or location with an attack or spell, it must first succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check. On a failure, it targets a random creature or location instead.
Curse. Once attuned to the staff, you feel a compulsion to perform. Starting at the next dawn, you must perform before an audience (size determined by the DM) and succeed on a DC 15 Charisma (Performance) check. Failure to do so by the next dawn results in one level of exhaustion. The curse is lifted if you make successful consecutive performances for one full year or if you are targeted by Remove Curse cast at 5th level or higher.
