If a goblin or gnome attempts to wear or attune to this item, they take 1d8 psychic damage as they hear a deep, echoing laughter from the Cavern King himself, mocking their unworthiness.
While worn, the vambraces grant a +2 bonus to Dexterity, up to a maximum of 24. If the wearer attacks with a weapon forged by a dwarf, they gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls.
