Artifact (requires attunement)
This ancient tome, bound in soft, star-speckled leather, carries the power to weave reality from words. Paired with an enchanted magic quill, the journal allows its wielder to reshape the world with a single stroke.
As an action, you may write in the Dreamweaver’s Journal with its quill, causing one of the following effects to manifest:
- Manifest an Object. An item worth no more than 300 GP appears in your possession or within 30 feet of you.
- Shape an Event. You cause a minor event or encounter to occur within 24 hours, so long as it does not drastically alter fate, force free will, or create an impossibility.
- Cast a Spell. You may cast any spell of 8th level or lower, ignoring verbal and material components and without expending a spell slot. The spell’s casting time is reduced to an action, as part of writing in the journal. Any spell cast this way expires when the pages reset at dawn.
Only one effect can be written per day, and once used, the journal cannot be written in again until the next dawn. Attempting to write beyond its limits causes the ink to vanish instantly, nullifying the attempt.
