Gallian (Horsefolk)
Gallians are proud, swift people whose communities have long been shaped by travel, trade, and open roads. Their speed and strength make them capable riders and mounts—roles they pursue proudly.
Gallian Traits
As a Gallian, you have the following traits.
- Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Dexterity score increases by 1.
- Creature Type. You are a Humanoid.
- Size. You are Medium.
- Speed. Your walking speed is 30 feet. While you aren’t wearing medium or heavy armor, your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
- Powerful Build. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
- Hooves. Your hooves are natural melee weapons, which you can use to make Unarmed Strikes. If you hit with them, you deal 1d6 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage, instead of the normal damage for an Unarmed Strike.
- Surefooted Dash. When you take the Dash action, opportunity attacks made against you have disadvantage, and you ignore difficult terrain until the end of the turn.
- Fast Pace. When you travel at a fast pace, you don’t have disadvantage on Wisdom checks.
Gallian Feats
Gallian Rider
Origin feat. Prerequisite: Gallian
- Mounting. A willing Medium or smaller creature within 5 feet of you can mount you by expending movement equal to half its speed. You and the mounted creature occupy the same space.
- Mounted Limitations. While a creature is mounted on you, you can take only the Dash, Disengage, or Dodge action. You can take the Attack action only to make Unarmed Strikes.
- Rider’s Weight. If your rider is Medium or the same size as you, your movement speed is halved.
- Shared Burden. When your rider is about to take damage, you can use your Reaction to halve that damage. You take the remaining half of the damage.
