The Simios are a race of humanoid primates with fur-covered bodies, large arms, and human-like features, adapted for life in the Everwoods.
Simios societies are deeply rooted in the forests, and their culture reflects a close connection to the natural world. Their homes are perched high among the massive trees that dominate their homeland. Treehouses serve as their primary form of architecture — built from wood, vines, and leaves, and reinforced with natural materials like sap, while larger communal spaces may be found on the ground or lower in the trees.
The Simios have a strong sense of social hierarchy. Each individual is expected to contribute to the community according to a caste system: Warrior Simios defend their tight-knit communities from harm, while Scouts expand their borders and report odd sightings back to their bases. Sage Simios handle civil affairs while nurturing their communities by building tools or performing magic rituals.
