The Thallari are enigmatic beings, born as manifestations of pure elemental energy from the elemental planes. Though their exact creation remains a mystery, they are not born in the conventional sense but emerge fully formed, imbued with a unique consciousness and individuality.

Despite their extraordinary origins, Thallari possess a profound connection to the living world, displaying resilience, adaptability, and strength of character. They are deeply attuned to nature and its cycles, often forming bonds with all forms of life and serving as living bridges between the elemental and material realms.

As a Thallari, you have these special traits.

  • Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1, and another ability score of your choice (Wisdom, Intelligence, or Charisma) increases by 2.
  • Creature Type. You are an Elemental.
  • Size. Thallari are comparable in size to humans, ranging between 5 and 7 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
  • Speed. 30 feet
  • Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
  • Elemental Physiology. Upon selecting this race, choose one elemental type: fire, cold, acid, lightning, or poison. You gain the following benefits:
    • Elemental Resistance. You gain resistance to damage of the chosen type.
    • Elemental Magic. You know the Elementalism cantrip. In addition, you know one cantrip based on the element you chose for your Elemental Resistance:
      • Acid. Acid Splash
      • Cold. Ray of Frost
      • Fire. Fire Bolt
      • Lightning. Shocking Grasp
      • Poison. Poison Spray Your spellcasting ability for these cantrips is Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma (choose when you select this race).
    • Elemental Diet. You do not need to eat or drink. Instead, you sustain yourself by absorbing a substantial source of your Elemental Physiology type, as determined by the DM. You must do so at least once each week or gain 1 level of exhaustion. For example, a Fire Thallari can absorb a burning campfire, while a Cold Thallari can consume a pound of ice.
  • Armor of the Elements. Your unique elemental physiology prevents you from wearing conventional armor. While unarmored, your AC equals 13 + your proficiency bonus. In addition, when you are about to take damage, you can use your reaction to gain temporary hit points equal to twice your proficiency bonus. You can use this reaction a number of times equal to the ability modifier as your Elemental Magic trait, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
  • Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Primordial.
