Wizards who study the School of Mirrors harness the illusory and planar properties of mystical mirrors to extend their spells, deceive foes, and traverse the battlefield with fluid mobility. Through their shimmering creations, they manipulate perception and reflection, becoming elusive, untouchable spellcasters who strike from unexpected angles.
Level 2: Mirrorcraft
You can create a number of mystical mirrors, up to the maximum number determined by your level: 2 mirrors at level 2, 3 mirrors at level 6, 4 mirrors at level 11, and 5 mirrors at level 16.
As an action, a mirror appears at a point you can see within 30 feet, and subsequent mirrors can be placed within 30 feet of another mirror with the same bonus action. Each mirror occupies a 5-foot space. A mirror has an AC of 10 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier and hit points equal to 5 times your wizard level. When a mirror reaches 0 hit points, it shatters and disappears. A mirror that is not within 30ft of another mirror also instantly shatters.
As a bonus action, you can move a mirror up to 30 feet from its current position or flip its reflective side. You can also destroy any number of your mirrors as a free action.
Mirrors create a special planar connection. As part of your movement, you can use 5 feet of movement to step into a mirror’s reflective surface and emerge from another mirror. You can see through the reflective side of the mirror and perceive the surrounding environment using a cone of vision that extends from the mirror’s position. Switching which mirror you perceive through requires a free action.
Your ranged spells can go through your mirrors. The spell travels instantaneously from one mirror to another, as long as the distance between each connected mirror does not exceed 30 feet. When you cast a spell this way, you decide which mirror the spell exits from.
Level 2: From Within the Mirror
You gain proficiency in the Charisma (Deception), Charisma (Performance), and Dexterity (Stealth) skills when using your mirrors to hide, distract, or trick creatures. Additionally, you are proficient in Wisdom (Perception) checks when perceiving through your mirrors.
Level 6: Gateway
You can allow creatures of your choice to travel through your mirrors as you do. A creature within 5 feet of a mirror can move through it to emerge from another mirror you’ve created. You must be within 120 feet of both the entry and exit mirrors to permit or deny access.
Level 10: Invisible Mirrors
Your mirrors can become indistinguishable from the environment. When you create a mirror, you can choose whether it is hidden or active. A hidden mirror blends seamlessly with its surroundings, becoming invisible. As a bonus action, you can toggle a mirror within 60ft to switch between hidden and active states.
Creatures must succeed on an Investigation check against your spell save DC to detect a hidden mirror. If a creature or spell exits a hidden mirror, the mirror becomes visible.
Level 14: Mirror Projection
Your mastery over mirrors allows you to channel spells and reflections with unmatched precision. While you are within 120 feet of a mirror, you can cast spells as though you were standing at the mirror’s location. This range increases by 30 feet for every mirror connected to it, allowing you to cast from any chosen mirror exit.
As an action, you can create illusory projections of yourself in all of your mirrors for 1 minute. While this effect is active, when you cast a cantrip through one mirror, a second mirror of your choice casts the same cantrip through its exit. This feature can be used once per long rest.
Additionally, your mirrors can no longer be destroyed by creatures other than you.
